Every day is Father’s Day for Papá and me!

Today I know just where to go.
Crossing the street, Papá says
“la mano,” and takes my hand.

A young boy and his papá spend the day together, sharing stories, laughter, adventure, and abrazos, hugs! They may speak both Spanish and English, but most importantly, they speak the language of love.
Arthur Dorros popularized the narrative style of integrating Spanish words into English prose in his award-winning book, Abuela. Now in this Rayo co-publication, Dorros uses the same style in a loving story about the close bond between a bicultural father and son. Illustrator Rudy Gutierrez captures the moving and magical moments in his vibrant, fluid paintings.
